Please check your childs blogpage if you are uncertain of colour, or ask your child. Looking forward to Thursday!

In November all groups will start working towards our Winter Show on the great stage in Asker Kulturhus. This is a fantastic opportunity for our students to show themselves and others what they have achieved and learned.

CREATIVES WANTED!!!
For now I will not reveal our plans and ideas,
but we are hoping to put together a group of volunteers for making of costumes and a few simple props. Let me know if you would like to help.

8th of January 2015
Welcome back!
Our new year has started fresh and with the knowledge the students acquired last year, we continue to build our skills in the PA room.

18th of December 2014
All our hard work paid off, and I am very proud of all students for their participation in our winter show yesterday. I am pleased to see how much they have learned and look forward to following them further in their development.

God Jul og et Godt Nytt År-

Have a lovely December break-see you all in 2015 :-))

Miss Kirsti
ALL students get a chance next week to choose an exercise to demonstrate, explain and put in their portfolio. (19/9-14)

It is great for students to try to explain in their own words what we are doing in the PA room, and what they are experiencing.
Use this blog to follow their development and to keep up with terms and skills that they acquire.
-------------------------------

Welcome to the blog for PA at AIS. I will post examples of students` work and weekly updates on what we are working on in the PA lessons. Homework will not be given on a weekly basis, but when they get homework, it will be posted on the top of their grade page. I ask that you keep updated on the blog on a weekly basis.

In performing arts we will work on areas such as coordination, movement, voice, concentration, improvisation, characters, stories and imagination. Lessons will consist of exercises that will emhasis and strengthen these qualities.

The PA lessons will in addition to strengthening basic skills and providing students with tools for this type of work, also actively use the IB learner profile and attitudes and incorporate the units that students are working on in their classrooms.

I am looking forward to learn, explore and play in our PA lessons this semester!

If any questions, please don`t hesitate to contact me at :

Expectations

As in all areas of the school, students are encouraged and expected to implement the IB learner profiles and attitudes in their work and at school in general.
In the PA room we will work especially on being:

Risk takers
Communicators
Explorers
Thinkers
Confident
Caring
Creative
And we show........
Empathy
Quriosity
A positive attitude
Enthusiasm

This is important to ensure that all students can develop to their full potential.
